Warn me when closing multiple tabs is broken on latest FF 3.6a2 nightly

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.9.2a2pre) Gecko/20090808 Minefield/3.6a2pre ID:20090808134249

hi

i have just updated to and installed Tab Mix Plus Dev-Build 0.3.8.2pre.090808. In 'events'=>'tab closing' is an option to 'prevent last tab from closing'. This option which previously been accessable is now 'greyed' out and non functional. In the next build release is it possible to turn the lights back on for this great little option. At the moment when i close all tabs everything closes including my home page tab. A work-around solution is freezing the home page tab.

Thanks for such a great app. Keep up the good work.

Kind regards.....guest

Guest above:
i moved your other thread here, to the designated Dev-Build 0.3.8.2pre.090808 thread.
But to answer your request, Fx 3.5 now closes window when the last tab is closed. TMP provides a workaround, which is just above 'prevent' option - Do not close..., you need to check that too, i think. Though, it's not greyed out here.

I love TabMixPlus, it is the main reason to stay with Firefox.

One minor problem: since a few weeks the font in the tabs is too big. If I disable TabMix it returns to normal. It happens only with Minefield (latest nightly), Firefox 3.5.2 has no problems.

Hope it gets resolved in the near future. Keep up the good work on a wonderful piece of software.

Platform Mac OSX 10.5.8 (same on 10.5.7)
No theme, I left it Default

If I disable TMP the fonts are back to the normal size, after enabling they are big again ( I estimate 50% "grow" )

3. what is your theme?

Thanks for the reply!

(1) How do I copy and paste all errors at once? It seems I can only get one at a time and there are quite a few of them — some of them mention "treestyletab" and "tabmixplus", however.

(2) I'm wondering how I get this easily, too, without having to type them all out.

(3) I'm not using any themes. Just the Default 3.5.2.

You should be able to copy/paste. Only the TMP relative errors should cut it down. Plus, using Console², you can merge dupes (pay attention to the line number).

use MR Tech Toolkit

Also, Nightly Tester Tools. It gives a very simple list of your extensions.

Thank you so very much, makondo, onemen, and WildcatRay. So very helpful!

I should note disabling ALL extensions except Tree Style Tab and Tab Mix Plus still results in the same problems. I've reset settings for both, too. I'd be happy to try any vertical tabs alternatives but I haven't found any others I'm really happy with yet.

There were a bunch of treestyletab errors (too tedious to copy and paste all) like:

Quote:
Warning: reference to undefined property window.permaTabs
Source File: chrome://treestyletab/content/treestyletab.js
Line: 1871

Warning: reference to undefined property window.BrowserLoadURL
Source File: chrome://treestyletab/content/treestyletab.js
Line: 1871

Warning: reference to undefined property window.duplicateTab
Source File: chrome://treestyletab/content/treestyletab.js
Line: 1871

But I didn't see any TMP ones.

My config:

onemen,

remember those 2 errors i posted above? It turns out AVG security toolbar causes those (it's installed at the time of AVG installation).

anyone else noticed that detaching a tab breaks it?
the new tab cannot be closed in the new window, if you move it back to the original window, it can't be closed there either. and detaching it again just duplicates it, instead of closing the original tab.

was using 3.5.2, now on nomoroka alpha and still doing the same thing. winXP sP3
