Updated Nightly to 59.0a1 (2018-01-15) (64-bit). Close buttons are back, but still not working. Same to preferences windows - invisible, not working

The 'trick' is not to update your (legacy) exts. as some might be moving to WE and it means - usually - limited functions, etc.. Need to check AMO for ext. update (change) log before updating. Since all of my exts. work well, i simply quit checking for updates (i install TMP dev.builds from links in onemen posts here).

I did the same - but lots of things stopped working, and I'm very particular about allowing updates - Firefox, addons, even Windows....

I played with them side by side and decided that I prefer Quantum to the older browser. So I sacrificed my legacy addons in a clean profile.

I do still have my old profile, though, so I can always fire up Fx ESR / WF / whatever and point it to that profile. But Quantum (subjectively) feels snappier on my system than pre-quantum builds. And this was before I started the new profile, with broken addons installed (of which I only had 15 total).

What's going on guys? Are we close to a working version for FF Quantum (no dev/nightlies please)?
Even a stripped-down version only with tab-rows working will be fine for now .....

Totally agree.
I suppose that most of FF Quantum users suffer without multirow tabs. We can wait other features, but without this - FF is very inconvenient.
