It looks like I came across some kind of bug. Latest dev version of TMP, Nightly 26-12-16.
STR: disable "Load tabs progressively when I open more than 9 tabs" option, open a bunch of bookmarks using "Open all in tabs" (it is better to open >10 bookmarks because it will be easier to notice the bug) and look at the titles of the loading tabs: the title of every loading tab consequently changes to "New tab" for a fraction of a second. I think the newish feature of keeping open the closed tabs menu after clicking an item brings forth some issues.
If I click a second tab before the first had time to be restored. Only one will be restored the other will only be deleted from the list.

I'm on mozilla-central. Also I expect restoring tabs needs to be slow enough.

With today's Nightly build (Firefox/53.0 ID:20170106030204) only the current tab is readable, all others are 'black on black' in the tabbar.

Cheers

I don't see any problem.
What is you theme, operating system and Tab mix preferences?
Do you see the same issue on new profile ?

Thanks for looking into it.

The issue I see is related to 'Tab Mix Plus' together with 'Classic Theme Restorer'. Nevertheless it worked fine til yesterday. So maybe there was a tab related check-in for Firefox.

Cheers

Starting with nightly from the 5th of january, I'm no longer able to visit file:// addresses. Browser console shows the following error:
Code:
Tabmix:
Component returned failure code: 0x805e0007 [nsIWebNavigation.loadURIWithOptions] browser.js:876

Relevant line of code:
Code:
browser.webNavigation.loadURIWithOptions(uri, flags,
                                               referrer, referrerPolicy,
                                               postData, null, null);

This is running on OS X Sierra 10.12.2

This issue is related to 'Tab Mix Plus'!
I see the same with 'Classic Theme Restorer' enabled and Tab mix disabled.

Test how it work on new profile with only Tab mix installed

How do you open the file:// address? Drag and drop, or type in the URL bar, etc?
I have encountered similar problems with about: pages even in a new profile (without TMP) since mid November last year. It is probably due to a security change in Nightly. I don't know, however, if it is an intended change to such operations.

Firefox Aurora with TMP doesn't display tabs from a restored session correctly anymore. It broke with an update from a few days ago (on two separate of my computers).

This is how it looks:
http://666kb.com/i/dfrnukqegb15fnxzc.png

Only the last selected tab gets marked with a yellow background and a red font, all the others just get displayed as normal tabs without the website's fav icon.

Edit:
Ok, this doesn't seem to be a TMP problem. It was a problem with the stored session, I opened the tabs anew and now they are being displayed normally as before.
